THE ROMAN GODS
Have you ever read about the Egyptian myths and Greek myths? Those are the more famous ones, but have you heard about the mighty roman empire and its myths? Read on and I’ll clue you in.
There were two twins, Romulus and Remus. They were both powerful and decided to build a city. One day Remus came back from hunting and saw how much effort Romulus was putting into building the city, he got jealous, so they got in a big fight which resulted in Romulus killing Remus. So Romulus built the city and named it Rome. This was the start of the Roman empire.
The Romans had a lot of influential cultures around them, like the Greeks, Egyptians, and Norse (Vikings). They wanted to conquer Greece and Egypt so they attacked Greece led by Julius Caesar. They succeeded, so they attacked Egypt and once again succeeded. The Romans decided that they also wanted gods so they adopted the Greek gods under different names and personalities.
